The Award Winning Savoy offered a brand new way of presenting international fine dining, Neocosmopoliltan cuisine. The Savoy had the perfect balance between rich elegance and friendly comfort. The menu featured an array of innovative dishes that brought a taste of the world to Asheville and a world-view is a limitless pallet with which to continually create new taste combinations. Menu selections included a variety of fresh seafood that were flown in six days a week from Hawaii and never frozen. Everything was made from scratch with only the freshest ingredients including all breads and desserts made fresh daily on premise. The Savoy prided itself on a robust Farm to Table approach with Eric and his culinary team developing and suporting over 40 local farms.

Bodega Gratia arose from the friendship between famed Argentinean winemakers and life partners Andrea Marchiori and Luis Barraud and Eric Scheffer, former owner of the renowned Savoy restaurant in Asheville, North Carolina.

Marchiori and Barraud, former partners and winemakers at the acclaimed Viná Cobos winery in Mendoza, along with their friend Scheffer, wanted to create a brand dedicated to being smaller in scale and boutique by design with an emphasis on the highest quality at value pricing.

They created a brand that has a very personal relationship with its customers by assembling a team that exemplifies a great deal of passion and pride concerning their wines, each viewing wine making as an art more than as a business.

All of the wines are produced from vineyards that are either owned or controlled and maintained by Marchiori, Barraud and Scheffer. Their production is a total of only 2500 cases for all four wines with their icon wine, Gratia producing only 280 cases a year.
